The equipment

Neurodyn is a transcutaneous neuromuscular stimulator designed for physical rehabilitation treatments. It presents 4 output channels with independent controls of intensity for the currents: Aussie, Russian, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation), interferential tetrapolar and interferential bipolar; and also 2 output channels with independent controls of intensity for the currents: microcurrent (Microcurrent Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation), polarized and high voltage pulsed current (High Volt Pulsed Current).

It presents 54 pre-programmed treatment protocols and 20 private protocols, Blue Light LCD display, soft touch keys and an exclusive arrangement of protocols.

The equipment must be used only under prescription and supervision of a licensed professional.

Contraindications


  • Implanted electronic device (ex.: cardiac pacemaker);
  • It must not be used for the symptomatic relief of pain without known etiology, unless the pain syndrome has been diagnosed;
  • Over the nerves of the carotid sheath, particularly in patients with altered sensitivity to the reflex of the carotid sheath;
  • Over the cardiac area, because it can cause cardiac arrhythmia;
  • Over the skull cap;
  • Over or next to cancerous lesions;
  • Over infected, inflamed areas, or over skin eruptions, such as phlebitis or thrombophlebitis;
  • Over caliber varicose veins, for the risk of thrombus displacement;
  • In patients with Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT);
  • In the presence of electronically controlled equipment (ex. cardiac monitors, ECG alarms, etc.) which may malfunction when the electric stimulation device is in use.
