Neurovector

Neurovector Equipamento Eletroestimulador

The equipment

NEUROVECTOR is a transcutaneous neuromuscular stimulator composed by medium frequency interferential currents: using medium frequency interferential currents: Bipolar Interferential (pre-modulated) and Tetrapolar Interferential (with manual and automatic exploration of the vector) which aim to treat pathologies and dysfunctions in the areas of orthopedic trauma and neurology rehabilitation.

It presents 2 output channels with independent controls of intensity, carrier frequency of 2KHz, 4KHz and 8KHz and it also presents a transport bag.

The equipment must be used only under prescription and supervision of a licensed professional.

Accessories

  • 2 pairs of silicon rubber electrodes 50 x 50mm;
  • 2 pairs of silicon rubber electrodes 30 x 50mm;
  • 2 connection cables to patient (green: channel 1, blue: channel 2);
  • 1 detachable power cable;
  • 1 gel tube;
  • 1 spare protection fuse;
  • 1 instructions manual.

The use of cables, electrodes and other accessories other than those specified above may result in increase of emission or decrease in the Immunity of the equipment. The device and its characteristics may suffer alterations without previous notice.

  • Output channels: 2 channels with independent controls in amplitude;
  • Dimensions: 265 x 275 x 115 (W x D x H) mm;
  • Approximate weight without accessories: 1.1kg.

Indications

Interferential tetrapolar Current

  • Symptomatic relief of intractable pain.
  • Symptomatic relief of acute post-traumatic pain.
  • Symptomatic relief of post-operative pain.
  • Increase of local blood circulation.
  • Maintenance or increase of amplitude of movement.
  • Relaxation of muscle spasm.

 Interferential bipolar Current

  • Muscle re-education.
  • Maintenance or increase of amplitude of movement.
  • Relaxation of muscle spasm.
  • Increase of local blood circulation.
  • Symptomatic relief of intractable chronic pain.
  • Symptomatic relief of acute post-traumatic pain.
  • Symptomatic relief of acute post-operative pain.

Contraindications

  • Over the carotid sheath: it could exacerbate the autonomous vagal reflexes;
  • Care must be taken in application in children, senile and epileptic patients;
  • Avoid the use of the electrostimulation equipment in post-operative recovery rooms, when the patient is being monitored by a cardiac monitor or any other type of electronic monitoring;
  • Do not place the electrodes over the mouth or neck. Spasms of the muscles of the larynx and pharynx may occur, and the cause blockage of the upper airways or cause respiratory difficulties
  • Implanted electronic device (ex.: cardiac pacemaker, deep brain stimulation device, etc.).
